Paula Poundstone’s April 2011 appearance at the Haugh was such a phenomenal evening we simply had to bring her back for more! Appearing on stage with a stool, a microphone, and a can of Diet Pepsi, Paula is famous for her razor-sharp wit and spontaneity. She is so quick and unassuming that audience members at her live shows often leave complaining that their cheeks hurt from laughter. You may know her from her numerous HBO and BRAVO comedy specials, NPR’s Wait Wait. . . Don’t Tell Me, or her multiple appearances on Comic Relief, Sesame Street, and Late Night with David Letterman, but her live, classic stand-up act is still one of the gems of the comedy club scene. Each performance is a once in a lifetime experience shared only with the audience who is there with you that night. Make sure you bring your friends… they’ll thank you.
“Poundstone improvises with a crowd like a Jazz musician… swinging in unexpected directions without a plan, without a net.”
– The Boston Globe
