Visual effects (VFX) in filmmaking include creating animated environments that would be impossible or too expensive to create in a live action shot.  This panel will celebrate the amazing and technical visual effects made in film by Harry Walton, known as a “visual effects guru.” He attracted a large crowd at Comic-Con this year and will show Gumby Fest audience clips from his work on films including Indiana Jones, The Abyss, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and more.

Moderator: Joe Clokey

Harry Walton, Stop motion animator and visual effects guru, is one of the festival headliners. He's prepared a fascinating presentation on visual effects through the years. He started his career at Clokey Productions in Glendora where he worked on Gumby and Davey and Goliath. From there he applied his stop motion and FX talents to Land of the Lost, Robocop, The Abyss, Start Trek, Ghostbusters, Terminator, Indiana Jones, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and many more iconic films.
