In addition to these main panels, there will be several other discussion panels (free admission) throughout the campus. Due to their small size, attendance will be limited. Gumby Fest 2015 Saturday, September 19th, 2015 at 3pm Filmmaker Robert Stromberg is no stranger to making blockbuster films. He won Academy Awards for Best Achievement in Art Direction on James Cameron’s Avatar and Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. In his 2014 directorial debut for Disney’s Maleficent, he became the highest-grossing first time director in history. This year at Gumby Fest, he will show some behind-the-scenes clips from his films and discuss the work that he has accomplished. |
Robert Stromberg is the director of last summer’s smash hit Maleficent. He’s won Academy Awards in Art Direction for Avatar and Alice in Wonderland. Robert has extensive experience in visual effects and production design where he has over 90 credits on films such as Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Life of Pi, The Hunger Games, among many others. |
