Tickets: $45/35/25 Student/Senior $40/30/20

Sandra Bernhard wears many hats with a rare agility and she dons them all in her new one-woman show, Sandyland. Bernhard spotlights her own unique, sharp blend of hysterical insight and outspoken views, with rock-n-roll, cabaret, stand-up and a little burlesque. Sandyland also features Bernhard's band The Flawless Zircons.

The New York Times recently commented that "Just below the surface, you sense the same roving critical eye that misses nothing and the same sensibility compelled to puncture fantasies. And, Ms. Bernhard's ear is as perfectly attuned as ever to music that you're embarrassed to admit you might like."

Of her recent shows at Joe's Pub in Manhattan, Next Magazine wrote "Bernhard looked like 10 million bucks in a pair of black leather pants and a chic white blouse, her world was Sandyland and we were merely allowed to live in it. Her lacerating observations and spot-on social commentary remain as sharp and insightful as ever."

Sandra Bernhard began her career at L.A.'s famed Comedy Store in the '70s and has since conquered all areas of entertainment, having written and starred in numerous one-woman shows, acted in various films and on television, recorded albums and authored books. Career highlights include her first film role in Martin Scorsese's iconic The King of Comedy and her highly-acclaimed one-woman live shows Without You I'm Nothing, I'm Still Here... Dammit!, Everything Bad and Beautiful and I Love Being Me, Don't You.

On television, from 1991-1996, she played Nancy Bartlett - the first openly gay character on a network sitcom - on Roseanne, while earlier this year, she joined the cast of the Peabody Award winning ABC Family television drama Switched at Birth, now in its third season, in a recurring role. She has also had numerous guest-starring TV appearances in between and her music albums include I'm Your Woman, Excuses for Bad Behavior and the world music album Whatever It Takes (Mi5). She has also sung with or opened for various musical acts, including The Pretenders, Cyndi Lauper, and The Scissor Sisters.

This 90-minute show will be performed without intermission.
