This riveting story is about Matthew Shepard, the young gay University of Wyoming senior who was brutally murdered by two disaffected young men. In the play, the hate crime is reexamined within the framework
of a portrait of Laramie, its citizens, and their reactions to the tragedy, examining the potential for violence in the most ordinary corners of America.
