The Bronze Star was originally produced in The Little Theatre in November 2012. It was entered as a participating production in the American College Theatre Festival and was chosen to perform at the Regional Festival at the Los Angeles Theatre Center in downtown Los Angeles. Only 7 shows were chosen from the region which includes California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada and Hawaii. We are honored that The Bronze Star was one of the 7! Based on the true story of a heroic, gay Vietnam Veteran, The Bronze Star chronicles one Vet’s struggle to quiet the ghosts of the past and find acceptance, peace and a purpose in an intolerant society. Spanning the period from the Vietnam War to today’s Global War on Terror, The Bronze Star explores the issues of PTSD, gays in the military, and the sacrifices made by our soldiers in performing their wartime duties, no matter what generation or war.
